Engineers with a mission
Working at Insect ENgineers
We are Insect Engineers.
We want to create a sustainable future for our children, by starting a chain reaction of people and companies that contribute to sustainable food production.
The commercial farming of the Black Soldier Fly is one of the most effective steps towards this circular food production. The BSF larvae is the best source of animal protein and is a high-quality food source for pigs, chickens, fish and pets. Our goal is to make BSF cultivation as commercially attractive as possible for companies. And to increase our impact, we share our knowledge and experience. With our Insect School we make our expertise available to the whole world.

Our Approach to Insect Farming
At Insect Engineers, we focus on practical engineering solutions that help organizations build efficient insect production systems. Our work combines biological knowledge, process engineering, and industrial design to support scalable black soldier fly farming operations.
In addition, we collaborate with farms, companies, and research institutions that are exploring new ways to convert organic side streams into valuable agricultural products. Through these collaborations, we help develop production systems that are reliable, economically viable, and adaptable to different regions and operational scales.
Supporting the Growth of the Insect Industry
The global insect farming sector is still developing, and therefore knowledge sharing plays an important role in its growth. For this reason, Insect Engineers actively contributes to education, technical resources, and industry collaboration.
Through consulting projects, engineering design, and educational initiatives such as Insect School, we aim to make insect farming knowledge more accessible. As a result, more organizations can explore sustainable protein production and circular waste conversion using black soldier fly technology.
